This package contains an update for ClassicWB (ADVSP) made with the intention to display all types of icons. It requires at least AmigaOS 3.0 and the 68020+ CPU. The installation is really simple. Just copy all files into the same drawers on your Scalos System: partition. As usual, if you want to be safe, make backups before. After the installation and a cold reboot your Scalos system should be able to show all OS 3.5+ coloricons, like the GlowIcons, all OS 4 truecolor icons and also all (Dual)PNG icons. Of course, old and NewIcons, too. In addition to the updated iconobject datatype system, my icon.library 46.4 and an emulated newicon.library from Stephan Rupprecht will replace your old libraries. These changes make it possible to use any kind of icon as if it were simply a NewIcon which Scalos can handle. But you may even load all these icons with Iconian or copy their images with Icon Install alias Icon Master and also with a patched version of CopyIcon for WB 3.1. BTW this update causes Scalos to use less ChipMem, too. Futhermore, I have included SaferPatches and a couple of FD files in order to list function names with Scout. UPDATE: There is a new "information.module" (v3.1b) included, because the older v2.9 caused some conflicts with the newicon.library emulation from Stephan Rupprecht. It became a really bad icon destroyer. In the new icon info it is possible now to click onto the icon image in order to load the same icon into another tool like Iconian, for example. You also have to use Iconian to change the icon type from "tool" to "project" or else. To get rid of these terrible crashes with red screens which occured very often during screenmode changes, a new quick & dirty hack from me, called FixScalos, now runs from the end of the startup-sequence to avoid the most and worst memory trashings. This should work now! Also added are some other patches like PatchRAM which lets the RamDisk display the right amount of used mem instead of always showing "100% full". Other utilities are MemTrailer to avoid some of the memory trashings, MinStack as a replacement for StackAttack, TagLiFE for faster taglist routines and a script called "Enforcer" which can be used for debugging on WinUAE and will be supported by Segtracker, too. Have fun with ClassicWB! FixScalos reactivates the UpdateWorkbench() function. Added a patched version of AutoUpdateWB to WBStartup. All programs will work on Kickstart and Workbench 3.0.
